General Administration of Environmental Projects


General Director's Duties  

  •  To supervise the organizational structures affiliated to the General Administration of Environmental Projects.

  • To supervise setting standard and rules and defining their priority. The standard and rules are followed in preparing plans and programs which contribute in Environmental development.

  • To supervise work coordination with specialized units at the University in this field. The purpose is to organize database and information required to conduct analytical studies. These studies define the environmental problems which have economic and social aspects, and determine Universitys role in solving them.

  •  To supervise coordination of work with University faculties about setting necessary plans for tackling the environmental problems that have industrial, agricultural, serving, human and social aspects as well as other Environmental problems.

  • To supervise drawing up environmental plans in different fields, in the light of the states national policy

  • To supervise executive environmental programs necessary to implement University plans of Environmental development, in addition to defining scientific and practical methods to implement these programs.

  • To follow up the implementation of executive environmental programs, in coordination with University faculties and Environment relevant organizations, as well as making special proposals to resolve obstacles and problems that face implementing these programs according to the determined plans.

  • To supervise work organization according to organizational structures and units affiliated to Environmental Projects. The purpose is to raise performance level and organize processes of communication with authorities and scientific centers whether national or international ones, which work in the field of environmental projects.

  • To supervise supporting University relation to authorities and specialized centers, through proposing plans for participation of University and its units in conferences and symposiums organized by national and international organizations.

  • To participate in suggesting draft legislations organizing environmental work.

  • To participate in suggesting methods to care about the environmental development. This can be represented in feasts, media programs and competitions allocated to this purpose.

  • To conduct the required analytical studies of programs and projects which achieve cultural progress in the field of environmental development and community service.

  • To participate with local authorities in fields of environmental awareness and community service, in the light of drawn up plans.

  • To supervise collecting and analyzing data, information and researches, to make use of them and help researchers in the field of environmental development and community service.


Affiliated Departments

First: Planning and Environmental Development Department

Duties

  • To supervise drawing up plans and environmental development programs.

  • To supervise work coordination with University faculties to determine faculties role of participation in implementing research projects to serve the environment.

  • To conduct analytical studies necessary to define pivots of applicable research projects plans, which the University makes to contribute in environmental development.

  • To follow up implementation of ultimate plans to develop the environment industrially, agriculturally, humanitarianly and socially.

  • To supervise designing executive programs to achieve University plans in the field of environmental projects and environmental different disciplines.

  • To supervise studies that determine main pivots of economic and social development plans in Middle Delta and whole society.

  • To coordinate communication with local authorities to define University role in environmental development in the fields of promoting industrial and agricultural production, commercial and services activities as well as advancement of human resources in governmental organizations affiliated to the public and private sectors, in the light of ratified plans in this respect.

  • To participate in and supervise feasibility studies of some available projects in this sector so that these projects can be implemented.

  • To supervise keeping periodicals issued by national and international scientific centers in this regard, in order to ensure utilizing them.

  • To participate in researches submitted by the University in conferences and symposiums.


Second: Department of Research and Environmental Project Implementation Follow-up    

Duties

  • To supervise preparation and design of an integrated system. This system is used to follow up the implementation of research projects, which the University undertakes to develop various environmental organizations.

  • To supervise the consultation of University experts in designing monitoring systems. These systems are required to control work in applicable research projects so that the projects can fulfill their determined goals.

  • To supervise forming basis for cooperation with University faculties and work teams or committees in charge of implementing applicable research and environmental projects, to be informed about implementation and presentation of these projects.

  • To supervise conducting periodical analytical studies of projects implementation data as well as defining obstacles and problems encountering these projects, to be handled and to propose suitable solutions.

  • To supervise record-keeping systems to follow up implementation of different projects.

  • To submit necessary proposals to develop applicable research projects and accomplish their goals.

  • To supervise providing feasibility studies of some environmental projects with data and information resulting from following up processes.

  • To follow up financial affairs of units that work in the field of environmental projects.

  • To organize keeping special data of follow-up processes, to utilize it in drawing up plans and designing work programs in the sector.

  • To take part in suggesting necessary solutions which facilitate the implementation of projects and solve problems encountering this implementation.

  • To supervise the preparation of fliers that highlight University achievements in the field of community service and environmental development.

  • To undertake other similar tasks when asked for doing them.

General Director of Community Service Affairs

General Directors Duties  

  • To supervise making timed programs necessary to implement University plans in the field of community service, under the umbrella of accredited criteria in this respect.

  • To organize processes of communication with centers as well as international, Arab and national universities. The purpose of this communication is to support Universitys role in the field of community service through utilizing these centers experience and making essential agreements.

  • To represent the General Administration in meetings and different special committees affiliated to this sector.

  • To supervise holding periodical meetings with heads and responsible personnel in the General Administration, in addition to discussing work problems and posing suitable solutions.

  • To supervise following up advanced developments and recent trends in this work field to make use of them.

  • To supervise determining systems and regulations of work in this sector.

  • To participate in supposing and sanctioning bylaws which regulate work in special units and buildings not allocated for students.

  • To organize University participation in conferences and symposiums.

  • To discuss reports, about activities and achievements of special units and buildings not allocated for students.

  • To supervise drawing up media plans which ensure publicity about University buildings relevant to the field of community service affairs.

  • To draw up plans of University participation in national campaigns for community service.

  • Financial and administrative responsibilities according to the limitations of law and regulating resolutions.

  • To supervise revising the total results of affiliated bodies activities and supervision of employees.

  • To undertake other similar tasks when asked for doing them.

First: Department of Special Unit Follow-up and Performance Evaluation

Duties:

  • To supervise the preparation of special units plans.

  • To participate in timed programs of special units plans and to follow up their achievements.

  • To coordinate among special units in order to prevent repetition of duties and to save capabilities and energy.

  • To supervise the determination of the economic and accounting standards acording to which special units performance will be assessed.

  • To organize participation of special units in local and national campaigns related to community service and environmental development.

  • To supervise the issuance of guidebooks. These guidebooks state the functions of special units and advertise them to make the society aware of their capabilities.

  • To supervise the assessment of registers and documentary cycles, which are necessary to accomplish work in special units and organize accountancy in the light of bylaws that regulate work.

  • To utilize performance evaluation reports to develop work performance in special units.

  • To supervise the creation of work systems which develop employees performance in the Department

  • To supervise the preparation of fliers and periodical reports which explain capabilities and achievements of special units

  • To participate in setting up a system to assess and supervise work in special units.

  • To supervise performance reports at special units to present them to a specialist.


Second: Department of University Buildings for Non-Students

Duties:

  • To participate in preparing bylaws on how can the public in the surrounding environment utilize University buildings.

  • To supervise the development of plans for University buildings for non-students, according to University strategy in the field of community service and environmental development.

  • To supervise the creation of schedules to implement plans of University buildings not affiliated to students as well as following up their implementation to ensure accomplishment.

  • To supervise the development of maintenance plans of University buildings and processes of replacement and renewal, to ensure their development and improve their capabilities in a way that achieves their goals.

  • To supervise the creation of methods and work systems which elevate work performance and achieve compatibility with different University sectors.

  • To supervise the development of announcement plans about goals and specializations of these buildings in the form of guides or other forms, to ensure making them known to the public and utilizing them.

  • To supervise the preparation of fliers and reports about the achievements of these buildings.

  • To supervise and direct University buildings which offer services to community and environmental development.

  • To undertake other similar tasks when asked for doing them.
