Overview on the Most Important Braches of Intellectual Property and Innovation Protection, a Workshop at Tanta University Next Wednesday

  Prof. Kamal Okasha, Tanta University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, announced holding an online seminar under the title “Overview on the Most Important Braches of Intellectual Property” for academic staff, assistant staff and researchers at Tanta University in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  Prof. Kamal Okasha, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, highlighted the significance of such symposiums and workshops for academic staff, researchers and postgraduate students in qualifying them as entrepreneurs through informing them about patent systems, innovation protection, keeping their rights of the applied research they conduct. In addition, they are informed about the concept of trade mark and important industrial designs that serve community and help to develop economic resources of the state.

  For his part, Prof. Abdel Fattah Zalat, Manager of Grants, Innovation and Technology Transfer Center (GITTC), affirmed the importance of this seminar for disseminating knowledge among academic staff and researchers about intellectual property rights and innovation protection. Furthermore, Prof. Mona Al-Gamal, Manager of Innovation and Intellectual Property Protection Office and Coordinator of the Seminar, declared that this symposium is one of a series of important and useful symposiums that are going to be organized by the Center for academic staff, researcher and postgraduate students so that the outcomes of their applied research can get into labor market.

   This seminar is organized by the National Intellectual Property Academy (NIPA) in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) under supervision of Prof. Fatema Samir Abdel Salam, Executive Manager of NIPA, where a number of specialized experts will give lecture.
