Student Exchange

The first student exchange between the University and other Arab Universities:

• Tanta University participated, for the first time, in the fifth annual Arab forum for student exchange programs for participating Arab Universities that was held in February, 1999.
• General Administration for Education and Student Affairs undertook financial, administrative and technical procedures of activating student exchange programs during the events of the forum.

Disciplines of Nominations:
Tanta University Council approved, in its tenth session that was held on Tuesday, May 25, 1999, the decree of Education and Student Affairs Sector that was issued in its session on May 5, 1999. The decree is about determining regulations of student nomination to attend student training at different Arab Universities as follows: -

1. The student mustn't be registered in the first or the last year at the faculty
2. To be an outstanding student
3. The student must be familiar with general culture and to be fluent at one of the foreign languages (English-French)
4. The student must pay 25% of the ticket price to the Country in which the university he \ she is going to be trained at. .

Aims of Exchange:-


• To enhance relations among Arab University students
• To take the advantages of practical training at all Arab Universities
• To give students the opportunity to know the civilizations, cultures, customs, traditions and study systems of the participating Arab Universities

The 24th Arab Forum for Training Arab University Students was held at Zagazig University in Arab Republic of Egypt in the period from March 17th to 20th, 2018. Prof El Refai Moubarak, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, was a representative for Tanta University. Tanta University has been participating in that forum for the 21st successive year. Arab Universities got a number of 36 training programs provided by 7 faculties from 7 Arab Universities. Tanta University got 12 training programs from 2 Universities, Nizwa University in the Sultanate of Oman, and Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. Faculties of Engineering, Dentistry, Science, Medicine, Education, Arts and Commerce received the students of those two Universities and trained them. A statement of Faculties that trained the students and universities that received our university students is attached. Moreover, another statement of the fields they were trained in the period from 1999 to 2018 is attached.
