Tanta Faculty of Engineering Receives the Children Participating in “A Child’s University”

 

 

 

     Faculty of Engineering at Tanta University received today the children participating in “A Child’s University” as part of the sixth stage held under the slogan “Scientist Children for a Better Future” in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) under patronage of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashor, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Mahmoud Zaki, Tanta University President, Prof. Mahmoud Sakr, ASRT President; Prof. Mahmoud Selim, University Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Jina Al-Fiqi, Acting President of ASRT, under supervision of Prof. Ahmed Nasr, Dean of Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Walaa Nor, Faculty Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Abdullah Khedr, Head of Chemistry Department at Faculty of Science and General Coordinator of Child’s University at Tanta University; and Prof. Eman Al-Ghamry, Coordinator of Child’s University at Faculty of Engineering and Manager of the Unit for Monitoring and Studying Social Problems at Tanta University.

   Moreover, Prof. Mahmoud Selim declared that the university always seeks to offer the children participating in the program educational activities that develop their skills and enhance their innovation. He added that the program helps to discover scientifically outstanding children. He thanked coordinators of the program at the university for their great role in implementation of the activities.  

   Furthermore, Prof. Ahmed Nasr declared that the Faculty received the children and their parents and that a workshop was organized for recycling cloth and paper and keeping the environment with the help of volunteer students from the faculty.

     In addition, Prof. Walaa Nor added that a tour was organized for the children at labs of the faculty including labs of foundations, artificial intelligence, physics and engineering mathematics, as well as Robotics Unit.
